V.Tabulinsky
was born in 1940, in Osh, an ancient city in the Tien
Shan mountains of Kirgizia.
After graduation from academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg,
he worked as a monumentalist artist creating 14 mosaics,
and 21 architectural murals found throughout Russia
and the former
Soviet Union. He began to show his work in 1961 in galleries
and exhibitions in St. Petersburg.
In 1970 Tabulinsky was invited to teach at the prestigious
Institute of Fine Art named after V.I.Moukhina in St.
Petersburg. This position he held for 3 years. Tabulinsky
traveled widely throughout Russia and Central Asia,
returning with drawings and sketches which he develops
Into canvases of scenes of Russian culture, and the
traditions of Central Asia. Tabulinsky is a member of
the Russian Artists Union since 1975. He has exhibited
extensively in Russia,
Central Asia, Europe, and Japan. His paintings hang
in private collection throughout Asia, Europa and the
U.S.A.
